Xiomi Mi 6 in Pakistan: Overview

The technology producing giant ‘Xiaomi’ is a well-known Chinese brand that sells top-notch consumer tech at very affordable prices. Xiaomi truly believes that quality doesn’t need to come at a high cost, and time and time again, it’s proved just that by releasing incredible smartphones, laptops and other gadgets that are able to compete with the world’s big-hitters when it comes to consumer tech, for a fraction of the price you’d expect. Consequently, Xiaomi has spread its impact across the globe by attracting a much better market since their products are available to a wider customer-budget bracket, especially when it comes to smartphones. Now it’s time they step up their game to finally challenge the ruling smartphone titans and lay claim to the global markets with a new statement, and Xiaomi has done exactly that with the release of the all new Xiaomi Mi 6. And the good new Pakistani Smartphone user is that you can buy Xiaomi Mi 6 in Pakistan.

The Fastest Smartphone in the World?

Xiaomi made a bold move with their new flagship smartphone which not only hosts some impressive components and specs, but all for a bargain of a price when compared to other leading models. They boast the Xiaomi as the fastest phone in the world, and that’s a serious statement since the arms-race in the smartphone world is bigger and more intense than ever with tech companies going all-in to get the upper hand over the opposition. But is the Xiaomi Mi6 really as good as they say? We’ll have to look at the phone in further detail to justify that claim, assessing every major aspect separately to reach a valid conclusion.

Design

The design of Xiaomi Mi 6 in Pakistan is really getting applauses. The Mi6 is definitely a showstopper when it comes to the aesthetic and is the result of some outstanding engineering and designing. The ceramic build weighs only a few grams and feels incredibly smooth and comfortable to hold. The exterior has a 3D glass body with and stainless-steel frame as well as a being curved all around its edges, making for an elegant finish. Durability is also an added benefit since the device is strong, can survive considerable physical damage and is even splash resistant.

Screen

The 5.15-inch screen offers a familiar IPS LCD display capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch and 16M colours. The screen resolution is about 1080 x 1920 pixels while offering a 428 ppi pixel density for a 71.4% screen-to-body ratio. It’s not bad, but not that great either since the screen still fails to keep up with the competing phones since the Mi 6’s overall screen specs aren’t exactly flagship standard.

Battery

You definitely won’t be needing to run to the power-outlet very often since the Mi 6 has enough juice to last you days on a single charge. The non-removable Li-Po battery has a capacity of 3350 mAh making it capable of sustaining heavy usage with minimal battery usage. The phone’s even got Quick-Charge 3.0 support to make refilling the tank swift and efficient so you can go back to using the device as soon as possible.

Performance

The Mi 6 is all about power, confident enough to assert its authority in the smartphone battlefield against the best of the best. So even though there’s some tough competition, the Mi 6 has enough firepower to just inch ahead of even the mightiest of performers. Starting with the memory aspect, the Mi 6 is packed with 6 GB’s of RAM which is enough to process the heaviest of usage without any lag whatsoever, and is expected from only the priciest of phones today. The internal storage comes in a 64 GB and a 128 GB variant which differ a bit in pricing, although even 64 GB is often considered enough memory. The main brainwork of the phone incorporates a Qualcomm MSM8998 835 Chipset processor that’s arguably the fastest processor on the market, as the CPU is an Octa-core (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) processing unit. Combined with an Adreno 540 GPU, the MI 6 can handle whatever you throw at it, be it running demanding gaming titles or working through hundreds of tasks simultaneously while consuming as little battery as possible. The Mi 6 features the Android Nougat 7.1.1 OS while customization and features are dictated by Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 (now upgraded to 9) user interface. It’s needless to say that the Mi 6 proudly offers the smoothest user experience to date.

Camera

Xiaomi hasn’t had much luck in trying to keep up with the other big guns when it comes to camera quality and has struggled to make phones with picture and video quality even nearly as good as legitimate camera-phones such as the iPhone or the Galaxy series. The Mi 6 is desperate to change that by adding a dual 12 MP primary camera that offer a superior image and video recording quality that’s comparable to some of the biggest smartphones out there. The front camera’s also pretty incredible. The Mi6 is a miracle that just keeps on giving, with extended features such as flagship standard connectivity options, high-resolution audio quality, a fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a whole lot more. It’s amazing how something so great can come so cheap.
